Ned the Newbie Add Niche Marketing to His Internet Marketing Strategies if He Just Knew What It Is
I was out trying to help our local boat shop owner meet his quota for bass boat sales when I ran into my friend Ned the Newbie, well his real name is Gary but he is really interested in online marketing and has been learning a little more each time we meet. My Process
First, I set up my account and enter the pertinent FTP information. For this exercise, I will be working with the “Sand Dollar” Blogger template. Once I get into the Blogger interface, I click on the “Settings” tab to begin my customization. Many default settings should go unchanged…I will only focus on those that should be altered.

Description: Needs to contain your secondary keywords. In my case, they would be the members of my fantasy baseball team. I list each name here.

File Name, URL: The name of your file needs to be “index.shtml” instead of “index.html”. Note that if Blogger is hosting your blog, you can’t do this.
Notify Weblogs.com: Click “Yes”
(Formatting Tab) Show: I tend to favor showing a lot of content on the home page. I would raise the number that’s in the default…how much would depend on the amount of content that will be created.
Post Template: I would tag all my posts with the Technorati tag for “fantasy baseball”. I visit Technorati, click on the “tag” tab, and determine that I need to add the following code into the “Post Template”:

The Mystery Element In Sales
The element of mystery can be effectively employed to involve your audience. We are all naturally curious about the unknown. When we feel we’ve been left hanging, it drives us crazy! We want to know the end of the story. We want our tasks to be completed so we can check them off our list. This is also known as the “Zeigarnik Effect,” named after Bluma Zeigarnik, a Russian psychologist. This effect is the tendency we have to remember uncompleted thoughts, ideas, or tasks more than completed ones.
We see the Zeigarnik Effect on the television news and other programs. Right before a commercial break, the newscasters announce some interesting tidbit that will come later in the hour.
